About this contract

This project is to appoint a specialist arboricultural contractor to provide comprehensive tree and woodland maintenance services across Bristol City Council's tree stock and woodland assets. The contract covers planned and reactive arboricultural operations including tree inspections, pruning, crown management, pollarding, felling, stump treatment, epicormic growth removal, planting, establishment and aftercare of new trees, and the maintenance of young and mature tree populations. The service is intended to ensure public safety, protect and enhance the council's tree assets, support biodiversity and ecological value, maintain highways and public spaces, comply with relevant arboricultural standards and legislation, and deliver the sustainable long-term management of the city's urban forest and woodland estate between 2027 and 2032.
